I spent a lot of time on the parts that mattered. The nails are shaped by hand in ceramic, and painted with real gel nail polish, made to rise off the surface and give the piece real texture.
The knife isn’t painted. The blade is a thin mirror, so when you look at it, you become part of the work, whether you expect to or not.
Acrylic on canvas, fully handmade. The piece measures 16 x 20 inches with a 1 inch deep frame.
It’s sensual, a little dangerous, and very deliberate. Nothing here is accidental ;)
